USB drive is a tool for our daily use, our daily work and studies the existence of already more and more inseparable from the USB drive, but when we use the process of USB drive, USB drive can't display problems, how should solve?
The computer recognized the USB flash drive, but when it opened "my computer", it could not see the corresponding disk symbol. Enter the disk management in the management tool (enter diskmgmt. MSC in "run"), and you can see the disk, but there is no allocation. Manually assign a disk character g, but when "my computer" is opened, there is still no USB drive character. Enter g: \ in the address bar, indicating that you cannot find the file:/ g:/. If the USB drive is formatted in disk management, the prompt cannot be formatted and the volume is not enabled. If you right-click the newly allocated g disk in disk management and select resource management, you are prompted not to find g: \. However, under Windows control (command prompt, enter CMD in "run"), you can enter the USB drive and operate normally (copy, delete, open files). Oddly enough, when you plug in your mobile hard drive, you can see the corresponding disk character.
Go to system directory C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ drivers to see if there is a "sptd.sys" file. Delete it and restart. Problem solved! Note: this "sptd.sys" doesn't come with Microsoft Windows.
Other possible reasons:
1. There is a mapped network drive in the system, so that the disk character cannot be assigned to the USB drive.
Solution: disconnect the mapped network drive.
2. The USB drive is hidden.
Solution: go to the regedit.exe registry and the heky-current-user Software \ Microsoft Windows \ currentversion \ policies \ explorer branch. Find the key value "NOdrives" that exist in the path and delete it. Log out and log back in. (not the value of the NoDriveTypeAutoRun key).
3.There is something wrong with the USB drive.
Solution: reformat the USB drive. Best low-level formatting, find a USB drive tool on the web.
4, really not, that's the last step: reinstall Windows XP cleanly!
